What is a dormant account?

When your account has not conducted any financial transactions in the past 12 months (other than transactions initiated by the Bank such as interest, fees and charges), your account status will change to DORMANT ACCOUNT. There may be certain restrictions on the use of the relevant accounts.

 

How do I know if my account is dormant account?

You can determine whether your account has become a dormant account through the following methods:
1. You can know it based on whether you have made a transfer, added money, placed a time deposit or foreign exchange within 12 months.
2. The bank will send an email and SMS to notify you when your account becomes dormant account.
3. If your account has become dormant account, a pop-up window will prompt you when you log in to the Airstar Bank Mobile App to conduct financial transactions.

 

What will be the impact of dormant account?

You will be unable to use the account for any financial transactions. The possibility of account theft greatly increases, when a customer pays less attention to transaction notifications, statements and other account notifications, and becomes less vigilant about account security. Therefore, Airstar Bank will manage the dormant account and restrict financial transactions (including but not limited to transfers, placing time deposit, loan early withdrawal and foreign exchange) to avoid account from being stolen.

 

How do I reactivate a dormant account?

You can reactivate a dormant account by logging in your account, updating your personal information and performing at least one banking financial transaction.

 

How to avoid your bank account from becoming a dormant account?

You can log in to the Airstar Bank Mobile App from time to time to conduct financial transactions (including but not limited to transfers, placing time deposit, loan early withdrawal and foreign exchange) to avoid your bank account from becoming a dormant account.
